On August 13, 2011 at 11 p.m. I added state #10, Oklahoma. to the states I’ve raced in. That evening I did the Midnight Streak 5K in Oklahoma City. It was 86 degrees with a heat index of 90 at 11 pm…so the race was a hot slog…but at least there was plenty of shade! It was the slowest 5K I’ve done in quite some time at 48:05, but I still was glad to check one more state off the list.
At least I had a strong finish at the Midnight Streak 5K
