My very first race was The Running of the Horns 5K on April 1, 2006 in Austin, Texas.  It ran through the campus of the University of Texas and I walked the whole thing hoping only to finish it in under an hour. My official time was 57:55. When I had finished, Glenda (who walked it with me in support), pulled a medal from her back pocket.  It was inscribed “Suellen’s First 5K”…I was hooked!

Moonlight Margarita Run (5k) on June 14th, 2012 at 8 pm (and 94 degrees) Austin (47:30)

Georgetown Super Sprint #2, August 5, 2012 second in the series (300/11/3), Georgetown  finish time 1:57:14 and won my age group (easier when there is almost no one else your age!)

Georgetown MiniSprint #1 on April 7, 2013 first in the 2013 series (200/7/2), Georgetown finished in 1:05:59 and got 3rd in age group.

Fast and Furious Du, on April 14, 2013 Grand Prarie,  (2/11/2) Finished in 1:45:03 which was good enough for 3rd Athena Masters and an invitation to Duathlon Nationals! (didn’t go though)

TriGirl Du (.5/8/2) May 12, 2013 was the second half of our Crazy Mother Weekend  in Humble, TX, having race in San Antonio the day before.  Final time 1:06:47 (or 8 minutes faster than the year before!)

Tri for Old Glory (Bike Run Version 11/3.1) July 7, 2013  San Marcos t must’ve been the hottest day in July . Was glad to finish in 1:38:37

TriPearl Super Sprint (200/10/2) on July 28, 2013 was an urban tri in San Antonio.  Finished with a time of  1:33:40

Georgetown MiniSprint #3 (3oo/7/3) on August 25, 2013., Georgetown. A time of 1:19:56 got me 3rd in my age group!

Zilker relay (10 mile total), on August 30 2013, Austin, with Glenda, Tammy and Anne on team “I thought they said rum!” Total time 1:23:54..bunny ears and all!

Hootenany on the Hill 1oK October 12, 2013in Kyle  (1:276:5)  placed in my age group.
