February 11, 2012 with the Cupid’s Chase 5K I added New Mexico as my 12th state.
It was cold (37 degrees) with a stiff wind and Albuquerque, the race venue, is at higher altitude than Denver. Add to that the fact that I am woefully out of shape…and I was glad to finish at 46:55. I sort of gassed out about .5 miles from the finish…but I made it!
